Flight to Buriram

  • The nearest airport to the Chang International Circuit is Buriram Airport (BFV), also known as Buriram Domestic Airport. It is located about 35 kilometres north of the city and approximately 40 minutes by car from the circuit.
  • Direct Flights: Several domestic airlines, such as Thai AirAsia and Nok Air, operate daily flights from Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) to Buriram Airport. The flight duration is about 1 hour.

From Buriram Airport to Chang International Circuit

  • By Taxi: Once you land at Buriram Airport, you can easily take a taxi or arrange a private transfer to the Chang International Circuit. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
  • Rental Cars: Some car rental companies operate at Buriram Airport, allowing you to rent a car and drive yourself to the circuit.
  • Shuttle Services: During major events like MotoGP, shuttle services might be available from the airport to the circuit. It’s recommended to check with event organisers for shuttle availability.

Flight to Bangkok

Thailand’s capital. Bangkok has two international airports:

  • Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK): This is the main international airport, and handles most long-haul flights.
  • Don Mueang International Airport (DMK): Primarily serving low-cost carriers and domestic flights.

Once you arrive in Bangkok, you have several options for continuing your journey to Buriram and the Chang International Circuit.

Connecting Domestic Flight from Bangkok to Buriram

After arriving in Bangkok, the most convenient option is to take a domestic flight from either Don Mueang Airport (DMK) to Buriram Airport (BFV).

Transfer to Don Mueang Airport (if you arrive at Suvarnabhumi): If you land at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), you may need to transfer to Don Mueang Airport for a domestic flight. The transfer takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour by taxi or shuttle bus, depending on traffic.

Domestic Flight: You can fly from Don Mueang to Buriram via airlines like Thai AirAsia or Nok Air. The flight takes about 1 hour.

Once you land at Buriram Airport, you can take a taxi or arrange a rental car to travel to the Chang International Circuit (approximately 30-40 minutes by road).

Driving from Bangkok to Buriram

If you prefer not to take a domestic flight, you can drive or hire a car for the road trip from Bangkok to Buriram.

  • Distance: Buriram is about 410 kilometres northeast of Bangkok.
  • Driving Time: The drive takes around 5-6 hours, depending on traffic.
  • Route: The fastest route is to take Highway 1 to Saraburi, then continue on Highway 2 and Highway 24 to Buriram.

Train or bus from Bangkok to Buriram

Train
